Bart Verbruggen 5.5/10: Wasn’t happy with his defence in the first half. Could have done more for the first goal but did make a good save. Had nothing to do after the break.
Denzel Dumfries 5/10: Struggled in the first half before improving in the second. Had two goals disallowed for offside.
Micky van de Ven 5/10: His pace makes up for the gaps he leaves at times and in the firs half he struggled. Like others he got better in the second but had less to do.
Jurrien Timber 4/10: Looked very much like a player who is not fully fit. Second to everything and gave away fouls in the first half. Was too slow too react for the second goal.
Virgil van Dijk 6/10: Defensively he struggled in the first but his goal got his side back into the game after the break.
Joey Veerman 6.5/10: Always looking to make something happen going forward. Not everything worked but was always available. His corner led to a goal an he almost scored a free kick.
Quinten Timber 4/10: Disastrous display as he gave away foul after foul in the first half. Was rightly hooked at half time.
Guus Til 4/10: Like Timber, he offered nothing in the first half and was rightly taken off. Xavi wanted to give him a chance but he didn’t take it.
Crysencio Summerville 6/10: Was Netherlands only outlet going forward in the first half and is a constant threat on the right hand side.
Ruben van Bommel 4.5/10: Was too static at times and his error led to the second goal. Taken off at the break.
Mexx Meerdink 5/10: Tried but was isolated at times. Had no service in the first half and barely touched the ball in the second.
Substitutes
Noa Lang 7/10: Offered more on the left than Van Bommel as he took the game to the Greek defence. His cross led to the equaliser. Likely to start against Serbia after this display.
Tijjani Reijnders 6.5/10: Came on and scored the equaliser with a good finish. Did a lot more running than Til did and it was much needed energy.
Ryan Gravenberch 6.5/10: Immediately helped the Netherlands midfield gain control back in the second half.
