Netherlands face Spain on Wednesday in a friendly before UEFA Nations League ties with Poland and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
De Boer has decided to bring Davy Klaassen back into the squad after his impressive performances for Ajax. Tonny Vilhena and Patrick van Aanholt also return.
Mohamed Ihattaren can make his long-awaited debut, but there is no place for Kevin Strootman. The midfielder has lost his spot with Marseille and is now out of the Oranje squad.
The full squad can be seen below.
Babel also has no place in the squad
with the injuries we have this is the best available selection right now *without babel of course*
selecting PVA after only two matches with crystal palace means that frank de boer is going to play 532 which i see the most convenient formation atm it worked well against italy it is good against big teams but small teams that play defense it is not good offensively but it can be changed to 433 when needed

Oh gods not Klaassen. He was TERRIBLE in the WCQ 2018 campaign. Here’s hoping his current Ajax form carries over but I have serious doubts.
Most of the rest of the squad is fine, but how De Boer can choose Weghorst over Babel is frankly beyond me.
Sorry meant how he can choose Babel over Weghorst is beyond me.
