After a defeat to Germany and a draw with Portugal, Netherlands faced England looking for their first win of the tournament.
The young Oranje side dominated from the start and should have been ahead at the break, but Justin Lonwijk hit the underside of the bar, while Justin Kluivert fired a good chance over.
Eventually the opening goal came on 48 minutes with Feyenoord midfielder Tahith Chong firing into the net on his second attempt after seeing his first strike blocked. Seven minutes later it was 2-0 as Che Nunnely’s cross was netted by Dylan Vente.
Netherlands U17’s will now turn their attention to qualifying for the European Championships in Azerbaijan with the elite qualifying round taking place in March.
