Netherlands U17’s beat Liechtenstein U17’s 10-1 in their opening 2019 European Championships qualifier. 

After winning the 2018 Euros this summer, Netherlands began their quest to defend the title at next years tournament with a tie against Liechtenstein in Sweden.

Ajax striker Brian Brobbey was a crucial member of the squad that won the Euros and he netted twice in a first half that ended 6-0. Naoufal Bannis, Dirk Proper, Jayden Braaf and Ki-Jana Hoever also scored.

In the second half, Bannis, Hoever, Jaymillio Pinas and Mohamed Taabouni added further goals before Mohamed Taabouni scored a consolation penalty for Liechtenstein.

Netherlands face Montenegro on the 30th of September and then Sweden on the 3rd of October. The top two nations in the group qualify for the Elite round.
