Netherlands U17’s are into the European Championship semi-finals after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Belgium. The win also seals Netherlands place at the U17 World Cup.

After an even start that saw both sides go close, Netherlands took the lead in the 27th minute. Ajax forward Sontje Hansen scored from close range after Brian Brobbey’s shot came back off the woodwork.

In the 41st minute it was 2-0 thanks to a lovely volley from the edge of the box by Ajax full-back Anass Salah-Eddine.

In the second half, Netherlands went close to a third on several occasions before Ki-Jana Hoever wrapped up the victory late on with an excellent goal. The Liverpool defender rolled the ball past his marker in the box before hammering the ball into the net.

The victory means Netherlands will now face either Hungary or Spain in the semi-finals. They have also confirmed their place at the U17 World Cup.
