The defeat to Hungary last week meant Netherlands had work to do going into their final group game and they got off to the perfect start when Keenan Pattern netted an own goal after only five minutes.

Netherlands couldn’t add a second before the break, but in the 46th minute Chelsea forward Daishawn Redan netted Oranje’s second goal before Arjen van der Heide and Joshua Zirkzee wrapped up a comfortable victory.

Netherlands now move onto the elite round of qualifying, but they are unlikely to be top seeds for the draw with Hungary beating Kosovo to take top spot in the group. Oranje progress in second.
