The game was a repeat of last years U17’s European Championship final which England won on penalties, but this time the young Dutch side proved far too strong.
Netherlands were ahead after only five minutes when Feyenoord’s Rashaan Fernandes burst through on goal before slotting past goalkeeper William Huffer. It was 2-0 after ten minutes through a huge error from England as Huffer hammered a clearance straight at one of his defenders and into the net.
The goals kept coming in the first half with Javairo Dilrosun setting up AZ youngster Teun Bijleveld to make it 3-0 before the Manchester City star volleyed in his first on 18 minutes then added his second five minutes before the break to make it 5-0 at half time.
Substitute Jay-Roy Grot added a 6th on 70 minutes before Dilrosun completed his hat-trick in the final minute.
Netherlands continue the four team tournament on Sunday when they face Germany before a match with Portugal on Tuesday.
