Netherlands U17’s have qualified for the European Championships qualifying elite round after coming through the first group stage.

The young Dutch side went into the final group game against Switzerland still unsure of qualification after the opening 2-1 defeat to Wales which was followed by a 5-0 win over Albania on Saturday, but a 4-1 win saw Netherlands qualify top of the group.
Netherlands tasked was made easier when Switzerland were reduced to ten men on 22 minutes after Bertelli was shown a red card, and after 44 minutes Feyenoord forward Dylan Vente opened the scoring.
Vente added a second ten minutes later after being put through by Feyenoord teammate Tahith Chong, and it was 3-0 on 64 minutes thanks to a goal from Fernando Obispo.
Four minutes before the end Vente completed his hat-trick, but there was to be no clean sheet for Netherlands as Hajrizi pulled back a consolation.
Netherlands U17’s will now be top seeds in the draw for the Elite round of qualifying which takes place early next year.
