Kees van Wonderen’s side had already dispatched both Denmark (2-0) and Liechtenstein (9-0) to book their place in the elite round of qualifying, but they ended the first phase with a simple win over Hungary.
Zakaria Aboukhlal opened the scoring after only seven minutes from a pass by Chelsea youngster Juan Familia Castillo, who made it 2-0 from the penalty spot before the half hour mark. Daishawn Redan made it 3-0 early in the second half after good work from Myron Boadu, who rounded off the victory on 51 minutes.
In three matches Netherlands U17’s scored 15 goals without conceding any. A perfect first qualifying round for the young Dutch side.
