Netherlands U17’s have won the friendly four nation tournament in Germany after a 1-1 draw with the hosts on Tuesday.

Kees van Wonderen’s side went into the final game on the back of comfortable wins over Israel and Italy and a draw with Germany was enough for Oranje to be crowned the tournament winners.

Germany took the lead on 44 minutes through striker Kevin Grimm but three minutes later, Daishawn Redan equalised with a great striker after being set up by Toshio Lake.

Neither side could find a winning goal, which didn’t matter for Netherlands, who head to Hungary next month for the first qualifying round for next years U17 European Championships.
