After beating Andorra 7-0 on Thursday, Netherlands knew a win against Moldova would see them into the next round of qualifying, even though they still have to play group hosts Poland.
Aron Winters side dominated from the start, but it took until the 65th minute until the deadlock was broken, with Ajax defender Damian van Bruggen heading in a free kick.
The floodgates then opened with Feyenoord’s Bart Nieuwkoop adding a second from another set piece on 78 minutes, before Heerenveen striker Pelle van Amersfoort rounded off the win two minutes later.
Netherlands now face Poland on Tuesday, but they know they will take part in the elite group for qualification to the European Championship.
Netherlands U19 line-up: Van Osch, Van Bruggen (84 Mirani) Riedewald, Owusu, Ould-Chikh, Nieuwkoop, Schuurman (58 Nouri), Kallon, Van Amersfoort, Spierings (58 Van Beek), Verdonk.
