Netherlands U20’s defeated Mexico U20’s 3-2 in an entertaining friendly on Friday evening.

Netherlands started brightly and deservedly took the lead through Ajax midfielder Noa Lang in the third minute.

Despite dominating possession and having more chances, Netherlands went into the break behind with a Roberto de la Rosa double making it 2-1 for Mexico.

Netherlands boss Bert Konterman made nine changes at the break and Feyenoord striker Dylan Vente netted the equaliser after being found by Jay-Roy Grot.

Vente then turned provider for the winning goal which was scored by PSV Eindhoven striker Joel Piroe, who found the bottom corner.

Netherlands U20’s will now play the Czech Republic on Monday.
