Jong Oranje have been drawn into group four along with England, Scotland, Ukraine, Latvia, and Andorra for the qualifiers which begin in March.

Only the top team from each group advances automatically to the main tournament in Italy and San Marino, with the best four runners-up entering the play-offs

Netherlands missed out on qualifying for the next U21 Euros which take place this summer after finishing second in their group behind Slovakia. The KNVB are still searching for a coach to take charge of the U21’s after Art Langeler stepped down at the end of the last round of qualifiers.
