Netherlands U21’s eased to a comfortable 7-0 victory over Gibraltar’s U21’s on Monday to move top of the European Championship qualifying group.

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville was handed his first start for Jong Oranje and after 16 minutes the winger had already made it 1-0 after being set up by Joshua Zirkzee.

Four minutes later, Wolves right-back Ki-Jana Hoever doubled the lead and 2-0 is how it remained at the break as Netherlands failed to take their chances to extend the margin.

Three minutes into the second half, Brian Brobbey added the third, before Zirkzee netted a quick-fire double, both from Hoever crosses, to make it 5-0.

Jurgen Ekkelenkamp latched onto a Wouter Burger long ball before making it 6-0 in the 67th minute, before Daishawn Redan wrapped up the comfortable victory.

Netherlands move level on points with Switzerland at the top of the table, but go ahead of their opponents due to a superior goal difference.
