It was the first match in charge for Art Langeler since he committed to Jong Oranje permanently and he decided to name a starting line-up with four players he coaches with PSV Eindhoven. Steven Bergwijn, Bart Ramselaar, Damian van Bruggen and Sam Lammers all started the match against Finland, but it was two Heerenveen stars who led Netherlands to victory.
Ten minutes into the second half, centre-back Jerry st Juste broke the deadlock before Pelle van Amersfoort settled the tie late on.
Next up for Jong Oranje is a tie with Austria on Monday.
