Netherlands Women took another step towards the 2021 European Championships after a simple 8-0 victory in Turkey.

Netherlands initially struggled to break the deadlock but in the 26th minute, Shanice van de Sanden made it 1-0 after being set up by Vivianne Miedema.

Five minutes later, Daniëlle van de Donk was brought down in the box and Sherida Spitse made it 2-0 from the penalty spot. Miedema then added a third in first-half stoppage time with a header.

In the second half, Netherlands ran riot with Van de Donk making it 4-0 in the 56th minute before Miedema quickly added a fifth.

Van de Donk then scored twice within five minutes to seal her hattrick and put Netherlands 7-0 up before Spitse added a late eighth with a clever free-kick.

Netherlands now sit nine points clear at the top of the group after five games.
