Newcastle United are set to complete the signing of Lille OSC defender Sven Botman.

Newcastle have been looking to sign the Netherlands U21 international since January but have had fierce competition from AC Milan.

De Telegraaf is reporting that Newcastle United has now agreed on a fee with Lille for the centre-back. They will pay €38 million, plus €2 million in bonuses. Around €2 million of that will be paid to Botman’s former club Ajax.

Botman will travel to England early next week to complete his medical and sign a deal until 2027.
