janmaat nufcAccording to Voetbal International, the right back was due to undergo a medical on Monday after a fee of €6 million was agreed, but it has been postponed to Tuesday due to Janmaat feeling ill.

The 24-year-old only returned from the World Cup in Brazil, where he made five appearances for Netherlands, on Sunday, but he will cut his holiday short to sign his reported six-year-deal with Newcastle.

After starting his career with ADO Den Haag, Janmaat moved on to Heerenveen in 2008, and after 100 appearances for the Frisian side he was snapped up on a free transfer by Feyenoord in 2012

In two years at De Kuip, Janmaat has made 74 appearances, scoring five goals, while he also has 21 caps for Netherlands national team.

Janmaat joins fellow Dutchmen Tim Krul, Vurnon Anita, and Siem de Jong at St James Park.
