Vincent Janssen has been left out of Tottenham Hotspur’s updated Champions League squad but there is better news for both Philippe Sandler and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed last week that Janssen would be back in their Premier League selection after failing to find a move away from the club in January.

However, Janssen has been left out of the club’s updated Champions League squad. This may be because of the rules that a club must have eight locally trained players in their squad and adding Janssen would mean taking away another foreign player from the selection.

There was better news for other Dutchmen at Premier League sides, though. 17-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever has been named in Liverpool’s squad, while Manchester City have included Philippe Sandler.

The last 16 of the Champions League gets underway next week.
