De Boer has been linked with Barcelona in the past week, with their current coach Gerardo Martino coming under pressure after a shock 1-0 defeat to Valladolid dented their title hopes. Tottenham Hotspur have also been strongly linked with the Dutchman in recent months, after approaching him to replace Andre Villas Boas.
However Ajax director Marc Overmars is confident that De Boer will remain with the Eredivisie champions for the foreseeable future.
Overmars told Algemeen Dagblad, “The chance that he will leave the club I estimate to be zero per cent. A departure for Frank is not on the agenda and everything that I say here only leads to speculation.”
De Boer is currently on course to become the first ever Ajax coach to win four Eredivisie titles in a row, with the club currently leading Vitesse in second, by six points with seven games left. His current contract in Amsterdam runs until 2017.
