Sebastian Soto’s loan with Telstar has only lasted six months with Norwich City recalling the in-form striker.

The American striker has netted an impressive seven times in 12 matches for Telstar in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

This form has not gone unnoticed by Norwich City, who have decided to cut short Soto’s loan deal.

Head coach Andries Jonker told the Telstar website, “Of course this is very unfortunate. You know there is a magnifying glass on such guys and that it can be decided in the winter to recall him. That is the case now and we have to deal with it.

“I think it proves once again that we at Telstar are on the right track and are a great platform for players to put themselves in the spotlight. How are we going to solve this? We will look at that in the coming days. After the departure of Benaissa Benamar to Utrecht, we were offered more than 25 central defenders and I expect that we will now be offered many strikers. In addition, we naturally have our own ideas.”
