Ajax have said goodbye to winger Lucas Ocampos who has returned to Sevilla after a disappointing loan spell.

The Argentinian moved to Ajax on the final day of the transfer window on loan after the board refused to sanction a permanent move for the forward. That seems to have been the right idea as Ocampos has now returned to Sevilla after failing to impress.

Ocampos only played 113 minutes for Ajax in total but he has a future in Seville as head coach Jorge Sampaoli is a fan of the forward.

It now remains to be seen whether Ajax will now move for a new winger in the coming weeks with Dusan Tadic and Francisco Conceição currently the starting pair of Alfred Schreuder.
