Martin Odegaard held secret talks with Marc Overmars this week as Ajax look to convince the midfielder to join the club.

Ajax have made the Norwegian international their priority signing this summer as they seek a potential replacement for Hakim Ziyech, but they are not the only club in the race.
Bayer Leverkusen are also looking to loan the Real Madrid talent, who spent the season on loan with Vitesse Arnhem.
According to De Telegraaf, Odegaard was spotted at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Wednesday where he held secret talks with Ajax director Marc Overmars, who tried to convince the 21-year-old to choose Amsterdam.
Ajax want to loan Odegaard for two seasons with Real Madrid unwilling to listen to permanent offers. The ball is in the midfielder’s court and he is set to make a decision after his holiday.

I’d think it be good for Odegaard to spend a whole season in the Eredivisie he has been a big name for so lon on huge wages but really didn’t show anything till his loan this season. Ajax offer UCL a good style & whether loan or buy be a good move for both IMO.
It would be hard for him to overtake Kai Havertz too at 19 has been amazing for 2 seasons.
