The goalkeeper’s future is up in the air at the moment with Onana widely expected to depart Amsterdam this summer.
L’Equipe is reporting that Onana is interested in joining PSG, while Chelsea and his former club Barcelona are also being linked.
In conversation with Canal + Africa, Onana was asked if he preferred a move to England or Spain, and his answer was Barcelona, It is difficult to say. I still have good contacts with the chairman and the trainers at Barcelona.
“As I said before: Barcelona is my home. If I can go back, I will go back. That is now only far away. I am the goalkeeper of Ajax and see what will happen after this season.”
Onana left Barcelona’s academy back in 2015 for Ajax and has since made 178 appearances for the club.
