PEC Zwolle are joint top of the Eredivisie after they saw off ten-man Heracles 4-2 on Saturday evening.

After only thirteen minutes the home side had the lead thanks to a wonderful strike from Mustafa Saymak who found the top corner with a powerful shot from the edge of the box. However Heracles fought back and equalised on 36 minutes when Thomas Bruns raced onto a Mark jan Fledderus pass before finishing past Warner Hahn.
In the fourth minute of first half injury time PEC Zwolle were awarded a penalty after Fledderus handled in the box, and Thomas Necid made no mistake from the spot to put PEC Zwolle back in front.
In the second half Heracles once again equalised when Oussama Tannane was set up by Wout Weghorst before finishing from close range.
Heracles looked good to snatch their first point of the season, but with ten minutes to go defender Mark Engberink was shown a red card, and with an extra man PEC Zwolle ran out winners. Firsty substitute Stef Nijland made it 3-1 before Jesper Drost sealed the win in injury time.
PEC Zwolle are now level on points with top two PSV and Ajax after making the best start to a campaign in their history. Heracles on the other hand remain bottom without a point and are one loss away from equaling the worst ever start to an Eredivisie campaign.
