A new loan target is PSV striker Jürgen Locadia. PEC are yet to enquire about the 21-year-old’s availability and with Memphis Depay leaving for Manchester United it remains to be seen whether PSV are willing to let another striker go out on loan.
Gerard Nijkamp, PEC Zwolle’s technical director, confirmed his club’s interest in the PSV striker by saying: “Such players (like Locadia) are perfect for us and we are perfect for them, we can offer them a great enviroment of a great manager, a good squad of players and the required game time. 34 games with us and he is ready for PSV.”
Besides bringing in Locadia, Zwolle are also looking to extend two current loan deals. Goalkeeper Warner Hahn and winger Sheraldo Becker (on loan from Feyenoord and Ajax respectively) could stay at IJsseldata Stadium for another season. Talks with Feyenoord are set to be held shortly, whilst Becker’s future is still unclear.
PEC Zwolle missed out on European football by losing the Dutch Cup final to FC Groningen and also losing in the play-offs for Europa League qualification to Vitesse.
