PEC Zwolle has decided to sack head coach John Stegeman after the defeat to Emmen on Saturday.

Stegeman has been head coach of the club for a year-and-a-half and led the club to 15th last season.

The club had already decided now to renew Stegeman’s contract at the end of the season, but the 44-year-old has now been sacked after a 2-1 loss to Emmen on Saturday.

PEC Zwolle is hoping to appoint a new head coach as quickly as possible.
