PEC Zwolle’s unbeaten run stretched to seven games on Sunday after they held Vitesse Arnhem to a 0-0 draw.

On paper the matchup between PEC Zwolle and Vitesse promised to be an exciting counter with both sides having ambitions to challenge for the top three. However, in reality the game was a poor watch and ended in a drab draw.

The first half barely contained a chance at either end as both team’s struggled for momentum. In the second half, Tim Matavz missed the goal on a rebound, but from an offside position, while Terell Ondaan (PEC Zwolle) and Navarone Foor (Vitesse) took shots at goal which barely troubled either goalkeeper.

The point means PEC Zwolle remain ahead of AZ in third while Vitesse are 5th.
