Leverkusen have had a difficult campaign in the Bundesliga and sacked Roger Schmidt earlier in the season, while his temporary replacement Tayfun Korkut has been unable to steady the ship.
A new head coach will be appointed this summer and according to Kicker Peter Bosz is a candidate along with Niko Kovac (Eintracht Frankfurt), Martin Schmidt (FSV Mainz) and Domenico Tedesco (Erzgebirge Aue).
Bosz only took charge at Ajax last summer but he has overseen a good league campaign, while they are also ninety minutes away from the Europa league final. He has a contract at Ajax until 2019.
