bosz aja1Bosz spoke in his press conference this afternoon ahead of Ajax v Willem II this weekend about the situation regarding the potential transfer of goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to FC Barcelona. The Spanish club are rumoured to have bid €10 million for the keeper as they seek a replacement for Manchester City bound Claudio Bravo.

He said, ”I am fully aware of the rumors surrounding Jasper Cillessen and I plan on talking to him later after training. Marc Overmars (Ajax sporting director) has also let me know about the interest surrounding Jasper”.

”We must not get ahead of ourselves with potential scenarios as long as nothing is definite Jasper Cillessen remains a part of our squad and we want to keep our best players”.

”We must also be aware that anything can happen until the 31st August when the transfer window closes and that will remain the case until UEFA or FIFA change the rules. We will always remain in this situation in terms of clubs being able and wanting to tempt our players away like we can also tempt players from other clubs. The whole situation is unfortunate especially with the upcoming return leg in the Champions League against Rostov on Wednesday ”.
