Peter Hyballa is the new manager of NEC Nijmegen. The German manager who is almost unknown in The Netherlands spoke in a brief interview with the NOS about his new challenge and he stated his desire to play offensive football.

Hyballa (40) was the former manager of Alemannia Aachen and Sturm Graz in Austria as well as the Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen youth teams. He will have no problems with the Dutch language as his mother is Dutch.
He said, “I am a little surprised that I was considered for the job because I am an unknown in this country but NEC have done their due diligence.
” I have a Dutch link of course with my mother hailing from Rotterdam.
“I have ambition and I want NEC to perform well but we must also be realistic.
“I want to bring my vision to NEC which is playing offensive football whilst remaining realistic and modest in our approach to games”.
