PSV manager Phillip Cocu spoke in his press conference of the importance of not conceding an away goal in tonight’s last 16 home match against Atletico Madrid.

In the group phase PSV won all three of their home games against CSKA Moscow, Wolfsburg and Manchester United. Coach Phillip Cocu is hoping the Philips Stadion can once again be a fortress when they host Atletico, and believes it is crucial his side do not concede.
He told the media, “I think that it’s always important for us to analyze our opponent and see where there are possibilities in order for us to be successful.
”If we do not concede any away goals that could prove to be vital in this knockout phase of the competition and I am sure that both teams will be aware of that.
”Atletico Madrid is a team with great unity who does not give much away and their approach is the same in every game whether it be league, cup or European competition.
”This game receives a lot of attention in the Netherlands which is nice but we must prepare ourselves well for the game”.
