Speaking with RTV Rijnmond, Koevermans said, “We sat down with the American investment bank Lazard and mapped out a number of issues. What is Feyenoord worth? And what do we want for the club? But above all: What we want to achieve.”
Lazard is now assessing whether there is interest and how serious that is, which could take months.
Koevermans continued, “Only then will we know how concrete it is and we can identify any really serious candidates. We will meet at the table sometime in the spring, if there is serious interest. So this process is still heading towards the summer.”
Koevermans stressed that the club needs investment to compete, “Ajax is four steps ahead of us and in the long term the club with the most money will be the champion the most. That’s how it is in our business.”
