Quincy Promes spoke of his delight after completing his move from Sevilla to Ajax on Monday.

Promes signed a five-year deal with Ajax on Monday after the Amsterdam club agreed an initial €15.7 million deal with Sevilla.
Speaking to the Ajax website the winger said, “It is a very special feeling because I came here as a young boy and return as a man. It is like coming home. I feel very good. It is a very special feeling.”
A return to Amsterdam was first mentioned three months ago, “Then I said yes, but that is not going to happen. I did not think it was realistic, because it was only my first season in the Spanish league. To make a next step so quickly, you think that as a football player “It is not fast. It remains football. After such a changeable season, I have said that I would like to go to Ajax. That is how the ball started rolling.”
Promes knows the bar is set high at Amsterdam after such a successful season, “It has been a fantastic year. The semi-final of the Champions League is not nothing. Keeping that level is quite a challenge. It has shown that Ajax is back where they have always been: at the top. I think we have a bright future have to create and write history. You see that they want to take a new path. This purchase proves that. ”
