Ajax are set to seal the signing of Quincy Promes from Sevilla on Monday. According to De Telegraaf, the winger will sign a five-year deal.

The 27-year-old will undergo his medical in Amsterdam on Monday before being presented to the media.

Promes has agreed a five-year deal with Ajax but it’s unclear yet how much the club will pay to Sevilla. The Dutch international joined the Spanish club last year from Spartak Moscow for just over €20 million.

The winger spent a few years in the Ajax academy but left at the age of 16. He will be reunited with Erik ten Hag, who was Promes coach during his one-year loan deal with Go Ahead Eagles.

Promes is Ajax’s fifth summer signing after Razvan Marin, Kik Pierie, Kjell Scherpen and Lisandro Martinez. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax are still interested in signing Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven and have one other main target.
