RKC Waalwijk and Cambuur have sealed their progression to the next round of the Eredivisie promotion playoffs.

RKC Waalwijk 3-0 NEC

RKC have booked their place in the next round after overturning a 2-0 deficit from the first-leg.

NEC were off the pace from the start as they looked to hold onto their lead and in the 41st minute, RKC made it 1-0. Dylan Seys punished an error from NEC defender Leroy Labylle.

Stijn Spierings levelled the tie just after the hour mark before Mario Bilante sealed RKC’s progression to the next round.

NEC will remain in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie for another year while RKC can dream of an Eredivisie return.

Almere City 1-2 Cambuur

Cambuur scored two early goals to seal their place in the next round of the promotion playoffs at the expense of Almere City.

With the score at 2-2 from the first-leg, Almere City were full of confidence that they could pull of a shock. However, Cambuur took the lead in the 16th minute when Nigel Robertha capitalised on an error from Almere goalkeeper Agil Etemadi.

Two minutes later it was 2-0 when Anwar Bensabouh unfortunately deflected the ball into his own net.

Five minutes into the second half, Niek Vossebelt pulled one back for the hosts but they could not find an equaliser.

Cambuur held on to book their place in the next round.
