000affJurgen Locadia, Daryl Janmaat, Erik Pieters and Ron Vlaar have all already pulled out of the squad to face France and England, and on Monday PSV midfielder Davy Propper became the latest injury casualty. Propper suffered an injury during PSV’s defeat to Ajax on Sunday, and after scans at the hospital he decided to drop out of the Oranje camp.

Blind has now acted to call-up Stoke City midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, alongside Sunderland left back Patrick van Aanholt. Afellay, who has 51 caps, was part of Blind’s provisional squad but was then axed, while van Aanholt has the chance to add to his two national team appearances.
