According to De Telegraaf, Matthijs de Ligt’s move to Barcelona has been put in doubt because of the interest shown from PSG.

Barcelona has long been considered the most likely destination for the 19-year-old, who hopes to follow Frenkie de Jong to the Nou Camp.

However, the deal has stalled due to the demands of De Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, and that could allow other clubs to pounce.

PSG are now ready to make their move and are not only willing to meet Ajax’s €85 million fee but also Raiola’s demands as well. They could see the move as revenge for Barcelona snatching De Jong from under their nose in January,

PSG and Barcelona are the most likely destinations but it is not just a two horse race anymore. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United are all now making their move for De Ligt after sensing an opportunity.
