PSV Eindhoven put their European defeat to PAOK behind them with a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Willem II.

After the 4-1 loss to PAOK on Thursday, Roger Schmidt was able to call on Denzel Dumfries and Cody Gakpo again after they recovered from coronavirus. There was no place in the squad for Mo Ihattaren though.

PSV took the lead in the 14th minute when Philipp Max fired an excellent strike into the net. That lead was doubled seven minutes later through Mario Gotze.

The visitors could have pulled one back before the break, but Che Nunnely fired a good chance over the bar.

In the 63rd minute, Willem II full-back Derrick Kohn saw red for a late challenge on Dumfries. PSV then missed some good chances before Donyell Malen finally made it 3-0 with a lovely finish from a Dumfries cross.

The victory keeps PSV in third heading into the international break, while Willem II are 14th.
