PSV are keen to sign a new left-back this month and the Crystal Palace duo were reportedly high on the club’s shortlist. However, Jeffrey Schlupp suffered a knee injury in Monday’s FA Cup defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, meaning nine first team players are now injured at the London-based club.

According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace have now decided that Van Aanholt and Riedewald must both remain at the club past this month as Roy Hodgson struggles to deal with his dwindling squad.

PSV must look elsewhere in search of a new defender, unless Crystal Palace have a change of heart in the next few weeks.
