News broke before PSV’s draw with Twente that Bergwijn had asked not to play on Sunday after interest from Tottenham Hotspur but now more details are emerging.
Bergwijn has reportedly travelled to London without the permission of the club, who have no agreement with Tottenham. Spurs opening bid has reportedly been rejected by PSV, who claims to have heard nothing more from London since.
PSV wants more than €35 million for the 22-year-old and are disappointed that the winger is trying to force his way out. Ernest Faber, interim head coach of the club, has spoken with the forward on the phone and aired his feelings.
The transfer window is still open until the end of next week and it is likely that Bergwijn has played his last game for the club.
