Eredivisie leaders PSV had little difficulty in recording a fifteenth league victory in sixteen games in a 0-4 win at Heracles.

It didn’t take long for PSV to settle themselves in to the game, with Steven Bergwijn notching his eighth of the campaign and Daniel Schwaab doubling PSV’s advantage just past the half-hour mark.

PSV’s evening was made even more comfortable by the sending off of Jesper Drost on the stroke of half-time. It did not stop Heracles from creating chances though in the second half, but they were mainly attempts from outside of the box. The home side would only muster one shot on target all night.

Denzel Dumfries headed PSV into a three-goal lead before Lennart Czyborra was also shown a red card for a handball in the penalty area. Gastón Pereiro saw the resulting penalty saved but made amends only sixteen seconds later to make it 4-0 late into the match.

With that win, PSV remain top; Heracles now slip to seventh.

I'm a physics student from the UK and a massive Eredivisie fan. Started watching after being inspired by the Netherlands national team after the 2010 World Cup. Wilfred Bouma also has a big part to play in my initial keen interest in the league, being a Villa fan meant I wanted to keep track of my favourite player.
