PSV Eindhoven remain top of the Eredivisie after a comfortable 4-0 win over ten-man Cambuur in the Philips Stadion.

Cambuur went into the game still unbeaten in their opening five matches, and they began the game in control but on 21 minutes PSV took the lead with Luuk de Jong heading Adam Maher’s free kick into the net.
On 37 minutes PSV doubled their lead when an attempted cross from Jetro Willems bamboozled Cambuur goalkeeper Leonard Nienhuis and slipped over the line. The away side were then reduced to ten men minutes later with Lucas Bijker shown his second yellow card.
Playing with an extra man PSV were comfortable in the second half and they extended their lead with 13 minutes to go as Jeffrey Bruma rose to head Adam Maher’s corner past Nienhuis. Maher then completed the rout by heading in Luciano Narsingh’s cross at the back post on 80 minutes.
PSV are now three points ahead of Ajax at the top, while Cambuur slip to 4th after their first defeat of the season.
