Jeroen Zoet received the plaudits for his performance in last night’s 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid in the 1st leg of their Champions League last 16 match, but the goalkeeper has praised his PSV teammates.

Zoet made an excellent early save from Antoine Griezmann before denying the Spanish side a winning goal on several occasions throughout the tie.
After the game, Zoet told NOS, ”The save that I made from the one on one with Antoine Griezmann is definitely one of the most important in my career so far especially in the instance that we managed to keep a clean sheet and not concede an away goal.
“I do not think we started the game well and if you take into account Gaston Pereiro’s dismissal in the second half I thought that we responded well.
“All in all it was a good team performance.
”We must go for it in the 2nd leg in Madrid in 3 weeks time and if we do not concede in Spain then we have a great chance to go through to the Champions League quarter finals”.
