PSV have been seeking a new left-back this summer and have decided to pursue Max, who has been with Augsburg since 2015. Last season, Max contributed eight goals and six assists in 31 Bundesliga matches.
The former Bayern Munich and Schalke player has a contract with Augsburg until 2022, and according to German media, PSV has lodged a bid of €7.5 million.
The 26-year-old would be PSV Eindhoven’s second signing of the summer after the loan of goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.
Would be a bargain I can’t believe that EPL clubs & UCL clubs aren’t after Max. 3 seasons he has 36 assists & 15+ goals from LB & can play in LW. Has pace wicked left foot set pieces from range he is a baller at 26 for 7.5m be a deal. And he isn’t playing in top team but had 14 assists 3 seasons most of any player in league marching FB assist record with Kahn who is one of the best!
If I’m a any club in need of a LB I’d be all over him & wages won’t break the bank. Be down shrewd business by PSV
But I’m perplexed that now ‘top 5’ clubs especially EPL who love a fast modern full back.
