The midfielder spent six months on loan in Eindhoven at the end of last season, and impressed by scoring eight goals in thirteen games. Van Ginkel was expected to extend his loan deal in the summer but a knee injury scuppered the deal and the Dutchman was forced to remain with Chelsea to undergo treatment.
However, van Ginkel is expected to be fit again in the winter and PSV general manager Toon Gerbrands confirmed to De Telegraaf that they are keeping a close eye on the situation.
He said, “Interestingly, Van Ginkel is also back on the loan market in January.
“He completes his rehabilitation in November, after his knee problems are over. PSV are keeping a close watch on Van Ginkel’s situation”
