Laros Duarte has left PSV Eindhoven to join Sparta Rotterdam on a permanent deal.

The midfielder joined Sparta Rotterdam on loan in January and helped the club gain promotion back to the Eredivisie.

PSV saw no future with the 22-year-old, who has now returned to Sparta Rotterdam on a permanent deal.

Sparta technical director Henk van Stee told the club’s website, “During his rental period, Laros made such an impression that we would love to continue with him for longer. We talked to each other and noticed that he himself also wanted to stay longer at Het Kasteel. He has played an important role in recent months and we expect that he will also be of great value in the Eredivisie.”

Duarte came through at Sparta’s academy before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2015. He never made his debut at the Philips Stadion, though, instead playing 72 times for Jong PSV.
