According to De Telegraaf, PSV Eindhoven have rejected Sevilla’s first offer for winger Steven Bergwijn.

The Spanish club have been linked with Bergwijn for weeks and have now lodged their first offer for the winger, believed to be €25 million.

However, that fee is not close to PSV Eindhoven’s asking price and was swiftly rejected. PSV are looking for closer to €40-45 million to part with the 21-year-old.

Sevilla have already brought in Luuk de Jong from PSV this season but it remains to be seen whether they have the funds to capture Bergwijn.

PSV are in no rush to let the Dutch international go and will reject any offer that doesn’t meet their asking price.
