PSV Eindhoven coach Phillip Cocu has denied rumours that midfielder Davy Propper is set to sign for Russian side Zenit st Petersburg.

Voetbal International reported that PSV Eindhoven had received an offer from Zenit st Petersburg for Propper as they seek a replacement for Axel Witsel. However, that initial bid has been rejected by PSV.
Speaking at his press conference, Phillip Cocu stated that he expects Propper to remain in Eindhoven, ” I expect that Davy Propper will finish the season here at PSV. Davy is enjoying his football here in Eindhoven ”
“But the transfer market is still going and it does not close until the 1st February.”
Davy Propper signed for PSV Eindhoven in 2015 from Vitesse Arnhem for a transfer fee of 5 million euro’s.
