The 28-year-old has not featured for PSV’s first team at all this season after being dropped into the clubs reserve side by coach Phillip Cocu.
Manolev joined PSV in 2009, and has made 95 league appearances for the club, but spent a spell on loan with Fulham last season as his first team opportunities in Eindhoven began to fade.
The right back was told by Cocu last week that he would not win his place back in the first team with both Santiago Arias, and Joshua Brenet ahead of him in the pecking order. The club have now announced the defender has been allowed to leave on a free.
PSV director Marcel Brands told the official PSV website, “We would like to thank Stanislav Manolev for his hard work and dedication.”
“He has always been a true professional during five up-and-down seasons with the club and has always got on well with his team mates. We wish him the best of luck for his future career.”
Manolev has now returned to Bulgaria to train with former club Litex Lovech.
